3 bottles, Lot 300 - 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - Black fruit essence and crème de cassis is interlaced with exotic spice and liquid minerals. Silken texture and fine-grained tannins provide for a breathtaking palate. Deftly and perfectly balanced, this wine showcases the beautiful fruit and alluvial tannins of Oakville and Rutherford. While this wine is just beginning to emerge from the bottle already you can tell it is dazzling stuff and definitely a cellar candidate.

3 bottles, Lot 303 - 2009 Stags Leap, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - This classic Stags Leap District Cabernet shows blackberry, crushed plum, Tellicherry peppercorn and cassis with loads of dark chocolate, pencil lead and a profound minerality suggestive of great Bordeaux (this estate was founded shortly after the famous 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting with an eye to competing with the best of Bordeaux). Silky texture and black fruit essence play out on a foundation of fine-grained tannins.
