Lot 293 - 2009
Chablis (Burgundy) - Lot 293 presents a beautiful and
kaleidoscopic nose of citrus fruit and lime leaf with hints of
hazelnut. The palate is simultaneously crisp and lush, a feature of
the 2009 vintage, with pretty pomelo fruit, apple and citrus and
abundant minerality all overlayed with sappy, honey, ripe pear and
hazelnut elements.
Lot 295 - 2010 Côte du Rhône (Rhône Valley) - Lot 295 shows a
beautiful, deep purple red color, fresh, juicy red fruit aromatics
and a well-defined midpalate that straddles the line nicely between
roundness, freshness, and depth. Its mouthwatering wine with
soaring aromas of violet, raspberries, licorice, and sandalwood
underpinned with ripe black currant and black cherries, toasted
spice, mineral, licorice, and pepper.
Lot 297 - 2009 Crozes-Hermitage (Rhône Valley) - While still
swaddled in baby fat that requires a good decant, this wine is
voluptuously textured and intense, merging power, delicacy and
freshness. Pure blackberry, lavender, fresh truffle, crushed rock
and licorice aromas are mirrored on the palate with fresh fruit and
rock with hints of licorice.
Lot 298 - 2007 Minervois Syrah (Languedoc-Roussillon) - Lot 298
2007 Minervois Syrah beautifully merges ripe black fruit and rich
chocolate with savory roasted herbs, espresso and tapenade. Its
silken texture contrasts the fresh and lively finish with super
fine tannins. Big, rich, and delicious.
Lot 299 - 2007 Minervois Syrah, Single Vineyard
(Languedoc-Roussillon) - Lot 299 has a nice deep color with
aromas of blackberry, fresh raspberry, sandalwood, dusty cocoa and
garrigue (balsamic, thyme and dry herbs) are braced with plush
texture, creamy oak, and a deep jammy core with lip-smacking
freshness. The rich and powerful flavors finish with delicate hints
of vanilla and toast.
